What To Expect

.
exam2You will immediately feel at home the moment you walk in the door.

If you’ve ever gone to a social event where you didn’t know anyone, you know how uncomfortable that can make you feel.  Our goal is to eliminate every shred of apprehension and make you feel at home.

Since chiropractic care involves a series of visits, with each one building on the ones before, it’s important that our relationship can go the distance. We’ve found that one of the best ways to have successful patient relationships is to explain everything in advance. No surprises!

The more you understand who we are, what we do and why we do it, the better results you’ll enjoy. It’s as simple as that.

So, check us out here. Poke around. Get to know us. Then, contact us to make an appointment so we can get to know you.

First Visit ——-To find out if we can help you, we ask questions and listen.
Second Visit We’ll report what we found and answer all your questions.
Regular Visit A typical visit will be much shorter, but just as important!

.
FIRST VISIT

Please complete all your paperwork and arrive 15 minutes early for your appointment. At the Chiropractic Wellness Clinic, we strive to provide prompt and efficient service to patients. 30 minutes is reserved for your first appointment with Dr. Nenshi.

When you arrive, you will be greeted by a chiropractic assistant who will check your paperwork to make sure it is completed for your clinic records. You will need to remove your coat and shoes in the reception area which is equipped with a coat rack and slippers for your convenience. Please turn off your cell phone whenever you arrive at the clinic.

At your scheduled appointment time you will be greeted by Dr. Nenshi who will escort you to a consultation and examination room where she will ask you specific questions about your chief complaint and medical history. This is your opportunity to communicate your health concerns while Dr. Nenshi will listen carefully in order to plan for an appropriate examination.

exam1At the time of your examination you will be asked to wear a gown (leaving only your underwear on underneath). Dr. Nenshi will perform a thorough neurological, orthopedic and chiropractic examination based on the information collected in the consultation, and only if necessary, additional tests such as x-rays may be ordered to provide additional information required for an accurate diagnosis of your condition.

(If x-rays are required, you will be directed to a nearby facility to have these taken and you will be asked to bring the films back to the Chiropractic Wellness Clinic before the end of the day.)

During your consultation and examination, if at any time Dr. Nenshi determines that you are not a candidate for chiropractic care, she will communicate this to you and will make the appropriate referral for care.

Your first appointment will conclude with specific home instructions for you to do while the doctor has a chance to review your history and clinical findings. A detailed report describing your diagnosis and recommendations for care will be provided to you at the start of your second appointment.

Before leaving you will settle your account and book your second appointment for preferably the following day.

.
SECOND VISIT

Your second appointment will be 30 minutes and will focus on reviewing the history and clinical findings from the first appointment, communicating your diagnosis and providing recommendations for chiropractic care if warranted.

Again we ask that you arrive early for your appointment so that you will be taken on time.

On your report visit we explain what we found and how we may be able to help you.

Dr. Nenshi will begin by asking you about your home care and if you had any questions regarding the previous appointment. She will then review all the information she collected on the first visit and explain the tests and results that she thinks is important to your case. If you were to get x-rays taken, Dr. Nenshi will also review these findings with you.

Upon delivering all your clinical information, Dr. Nenshi will give you a diagnosis for your concerns. She will then describe the three phases of care, symptom care, corrective care and wellness care and will make her specific recommendations to you based on her many years of experience dealing with similar cases.

In the event she thinks chiropractic care is not something that will address your concerns, she will provide an appropriate referral.

Before accepting you as a patient, Dr. Nenshi will discuss with you your responsibilities as a patient. This involves following home care instructions, being present at all scheduled appointments and attending a new patient orientation class. Dr. Nenshi looks at the doctor-patient relationship like a partnership, both she and the patient need to be completely committed to see results.

exam3Once you have received all the information regarding your diagnosis and recommendations for care, Dr. Nenshi will talk to you about what it will all cost. You will have the choice on how many of the three phases of care you would like to do, starting with the first phase, symptom relief.

Near the end of your second appointment, Dr. Nenshi will provide you with your first chiropractic adjustment, enabling you to take your first step on the road to recovery. Most patients do not need to wear a gown for their chiropractic adjustment so long as they are dressed in loose clothing and are able to remove any bulky layers.
Before leaving you will look after your account and pre-book your appointments as recommended by Dr. Nenshi.

.
REGULAR VISIT

When you arrive for your regular chiropractic appointment, you will remove your jacket and shoes in the reception area, turn off your cell phone, and will be escorted to a chiropractic treatment room at your appointment time. You will prepare for your adjustment by taking off any extra bulky layers and sitting on the chiropractic adjusting table until Dr. Nenshi arrives.

Dr. Nenshi will review your file and deliver a chiropractic adjustment specific to your case. She will follow with cold laser therapy for pain relief and accelerated healing of soft tissues and home care instructions as required. Other modalities that may take additional time such as detoxification footbaths, rehabilitation exercises and massage therapy may be provided as adjunctive care afterwards if warranted.

On your way out you will take care of your account and confirm your next appointment. A typical chiropractic appointment should take 10-15 minutes from when you arrive to when you leave the clinic.
